I wake up to a bright light outside, I can see it blasting from around the corner of the slightly open bathroom door. The curtains in the bedroom are closed and I lay there for a minute to acclimate. I find the remote for the blackout shades and press the open button. The shades open slowly and a bright, yellow light squeezes in.
I smile. The bedroom is still night cool but soon the light will warm the air around my face and the floor will be warm enough to still have a cooling, eyes closed walk toward the shower. The shower starts and I press the steam option so the eucalyptus and I can have a perfect morning moment as I decide when I will open my eyes.
One not too long warm shower with a verrry cold ending later and I am lotion-ing and serum-ing and ready to stand just inside the balcony door so the breeze from the saltwater not too far below can dry some of the moisture from my skin.
I choose comfortable clothes that don't cover too much and my comfy slippers and head down to the kitchen where the breeze is everywhere. The dogs come inside once they see me and follow me around as I throw together a tasty breakfast of turkish eggs on homemade sourdough and a large bowl of salad with a homemade dill based dressing and a tasty chocolate banana protein shake with healthy bits in it. I get fresh water for the dogs and a snack and I head outside to sit at the table on the patio and eat while I listen to the forest outside and watch the dogs run around and play.
Just over there I can see the sunflowers have gotten taller overnight and the garden is buzzing with morning visitors. I'll head over there in a bit and grab what strawberries I can before the forest friends eat them all so I can freeze them for future use in smoothies and compotes. I can hear bro is already up and clanking away at something that I'm sure will be awesome and useful on the 'farm'. I hear the washing machine going which means B is doing her weekly cleaning and I'll have to wait to wash anything until tomorrow which is fine. I've got plenty to wear and towelettes to use around the house today and in the studio.
The studio is bright and clean. Last night I danced my way through cleaning and organizing everything and it was so much fun. I even found all my working projects and lined them up next to the tools I will use on them next. I'm casting rings today and already tested them for stone fit and shape so I'll go ahead and start melting gold and silver.
At some point, I look up and see the dogs chilling on the deck in front of the studio. They look healthy and rested and I grab my phone to get some video of them. They're all lying on top of or next to each other in the most adorable way. Of course, as soon as I get close they all open their eyes. No worries, I got some great video for my posts tonight. Wait, is that the time? Holy Cow I didn't even notice the whole day go by! I do love making stuff. Well, it's actually perfect timing. I got 5 of the 7 pieces cast and cleaned and tomorrow I'll cast the last two and cut them from their pour ducts and I can start cleaning them up so I can set their stones. Then I'll have to decide if I want to photo-shoot them or make another batch of shiny goodies and photo-shoot a large bunch. hmmm...Either way, it's time to go for a walk around the property, take some video, and let the dogs explore with me.
I love walking around and checking the fence, the garden, the vehicles, and seeing what the others are getting into tonight. The sun is still a bit of a ways from setting which is great timing for the rest of today's to-do's. Hmm, maybe I'll know what I'm making for dinner by the time I get to Johnny's?!
Strawberry update: I ate all the strawberries on my walk. 😁 They were delicious.
This is one of the visions that repeats in my mind's eye daily...it makes me smile and feels really nice. I'm so excited to get there...the road has been good...
